Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Shares Programs, Resources for Mental Health Month

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana is reminding everyone to be mindful of their mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. The insurance provider encourages individuals to focus on things they can control, set healthy limits on news consumption, and use tactics that work for them to boost their mental health, such as exercise, creative activities, or spending time with family. They also have an in-house clinical team including nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and social workers that offer support and assistance to members dealing with long-term health needs, serious illnesses, or acute injuries. Additionally, they are hosting a four-part Facebook Live series on their Facebook page to share ideas and resources for effectively managing mental health during this stressful time. They also offer BlueCare, a telehealth platform, which allows individuals to have online visits with behavioral health providers, with no out-of-pocket cost.
