Positions Available

Enrollment Technology Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process all incoming enrollments, terminations, and change forms, including COBRA and forward them to the appropriate carrier for processing utilizing online capabilities when available.

  • Process all carrier submissions

  • Internal Response Time/Follow Up

  • External Response Time/Follow Up

  • Meeting deadlines

  • Sense Of Urgency

  • Meeting volume standards (Processing Number of Submissions)

  • Ensuring all necessary items are included in the submissions

  • Scrubbing applications

  • Online data entry

  • Contacting the client for additional information

  • Keeping the Team informed throughout the process

  • Follow up with the carrier for final results

  • Communicate any missing items to the Account Manager and Benefit Consultant

  • Assist with all enrollment packets for carrier change and new business submissions

  • Update Ease on all member enrollments, terminations, change forms (including COBRA forms), and requests for additional information for submission completion.

  • Special Projects – Can include, but are not limited to, building and maintaining spreadsheets for clients for enrollment purposes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma. College degree preferred.

  • Significant insurance experience required; at least three years of work experience (benefits administration, health insurance customer service, etc.).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Persistent in achieving the end result—resolution.

  • Strong organizational skills, including daily prioritizing and logical thinking.

  • Service-oriented, kind, compassionate, and willing to work hard on another person’s behalf.

  • Good communication skills, especially verbally and over the phone. Clarity and accuracy are essential.

  • Excellent phone skills, being responsive, empathetic, and honest with the information to be shared.

  • Strong working knowledge of computers (MS Word, MS Outlook preferred; Internet, MS Excel, and database experience also beneficial) and able to learn online carrier systems and programs.

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully.

  • Able to work with others in teams; able to work with those who perform similar jobs as well as complementary roles. Promotes cooperation and shared successes throughout the organization

  • Shares ideas for improvement that are oriented around solutions and blameless problem-solving.

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Education: High school or equivalent
